  • Background: 1x Wisconsin High School State Champion, standout vlogger, and lifelong visionary who dreamed of starting a wrestling shoe company.
  • College Career: Wrestled 5 years at UW Parkside. Reached #1 ranking in Division II nationally his senior season.
  • Faith & Values: Cayden is a child of God first, wrestler second. His faith guides his leadership and creativity. The brand Chosen Higher is our way our growing our faith and building a community of great wrestlers and better children of God.

👟 Brock Bergelin – Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

  • Background: 3x Wisconsin State Champion from Denmark, WI.
  • College Career: Wrestled 5 years at Central Michigan, earning 2x Academic All-American honors.
  • Passion for Wrestling Shoes: From the Funky Flickr Boy Days to collecting and trading shoes, Brock’s love for wrestling footwear runs deep. His all-time favorite non-CHGEAR shoe is the Adidas OG teal.
  • Coaching: Year-round coach at Michigan Premier Wrestling Club and Lowell High School, helping shape the next generation of wrestlers.
  • Goals: Streamline customer experience, improve logistics, and elevate product quality through relentless R&D.

💻 Kyle Waldo – Customer Experience Specialist

  • Background: 4x Michigan High School State Champion (Division 1), second ever behind Brent Metcalf.
  • College Career: Wrestled at Nebraska and Central Michigan.
  • Impact on Wrestling: Founder of Grand Rapids Wrestling Academy, producing over 10 Division 1 recruits. Currently head coach at Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
  • Goals at CHGEAR: Enhance customer experience by reducing email response times and integrating new technology to make every interaction seamless.
  • Joined CHGEAR: November 15, 2025, bringing unmatched energy and commitment to serving our athletes.
